Conservation and Ecology of Javan Fuscous Leaf Monkey, in Mount Slamet, Central Java, Indonesia
We have aim to conserve Javan gibbon (Hylobates moloch) and Javan grizzled surili (Presbytis fredericae) in the remaining forested habitat, through study on primates seed dispersal and building conservation capacity toward local people in Sokakembang village of Central Java, Indonesia.
Javan gibbon and Javan grizzled surely probably still exist in the remnants forest of Central Java. Their habitats are among human habitat utilization, which forest resource exploitation still happened.
We want to re-assess the current population and distribution of these endangered primates in central java, and providing new scientific data on primate seed dispersal in this region, to know forest tree species utilized by primate as food resources also has important value toward local people.
