New Process, Amounts and Application Form
Following a strategic review of the Rufford Small Grants Programme, and following consultation with our grantees, conservation professionals, other donors and reviewers of Rufford Small Grant applications, we are pleased to launch our new application process.
Our previous form had been revised over the years piece by piece, leading to some repetition which was time-consuming for applicants and reviewers. This time, we have reviewed the form in its entirety.
We hope that the changes will help applicants to design projects that support conservation actions and research that benefits biodiversity, enhance the review and selection process, and assist with project monitoring and evaluation.
We expect that increased funding amounts will help grantees to cover the increasing cost of delivering projects as well as consider potential next-stage projects.
Our new four-stage process for grants is as follows:
- 1st Rufford Small Grant - up to £7,000
- 2nd Rufford Small Grant - up to £8,000
- Booster Grant - up to £12,000
- Completion Grant - up to £18,000
