Since their 2023 release, the IUCN SSC Guidelines have been an invaluable learning resource for navigating human-wildlife conflict and coexistence.
The Rufford Foundation is delighted to announce that we have funded translations of the guidelines into French, Spanish and Portuguese. Providing a greater audience with essential knowledge and advice on best practices. The guidelines are also available in Russian.
We hope that these guidelines will be widely utilised by conservation practitioners. They are also designed to support anyone developing projects that seek to better understand and address human-wildlife conflict and coexistence challenges. This includes government officers, community leaders, researchers, decision makers and others.
A huge congratulations to the IUCN SSC Human-Wildlife Conflict and Coexistence Specialist Group, the authors and translators for this accomplishment!
