The overall aim of the project is to conserve threatened medicinal plants used for treating snake poisoning traditionally (antivenom) within Godjope Hills in Lambwe Valley.
This project intends to establish conservation measures involving members of the community, herbalists, conservationists, pharmacists, teachers and school children.
Activities will include identification of priority medicinal plants, development of data bank, recording and promoting traditional knowledge pertaining to medicinal plants as well as capacity building for herbalists, students and members of the community.
