The aim of the project is during 3 years (2005-2007) to compile the annotated list of flora of vascular plants of Nizhnechopersky (Lower Choper) Nature Park, which is the largest among 6 parks of Volgograd region. This is important to clarify the role of each species in forming of vegetation cover, their occurrence and distribution.

This will promote to check and illuminate the rare and threatened species of plants, to foresee threatened factors, to give recommendations for the administration of the park and to develop conservation measures. Dr. Vjacheslav Byalt will be working on this project too. The links will be formed with local authorities and with management of the park.
