Hoang Van Chung

The Bat Xat Nature Reserve is located within the Indo-Burma biodiversity hotspot. It contains the last remnants of the primary forest of northwestern Vietnam. However, knowledge about the amphibian fauna of the Nature Reserve is poorly known. Hoang et al. (2016) recorded 30 species of amphibians in Bat Xat NR. This study aims to investigate the amphibian fauna of the nature reserve with a special focus on new species discovery. In addition, distribution patterns and conservation needs assessments will be evaluated to identify appropriate conservation measures for the amphibian species in this nature reserve.
