Community capacity improvement on survey and analysing natural resource management and biodiversity problems at IBA Guatiquia (Cundinamarca, Colombia)
Having initiated a long term conservation program for Assessment and conservation of threatened bird species at Guayabetal during the project's, and after helping build stakeholders capacity in 1st phase seeks to tap into these knowledge and skills and further increase community involvement in the conservation of the endangered birds and its habitat. Most activities in the proposed project were identified in recent community consultations as important in conserving Cañon del Guatiquia biodiversity.

While the project focuses on the conservation of the Endangered birds, it has a strong capability-building component that enables local stakeholders to tackle conservation challenges for other species and habitats in the area.
