Our project aims to raise awareness of local malagasy people for their fascinating endemism-rich biodiversity and to transfer knowledge of alternative sustainable methods to improve local livelihoods in order to reduce exploitation of natural resources.
This project aims to raise awareness of local malagasy people for their fascinating endemism-rich biodiversity and to transfer knowledge of alternative sustainable methods to improve local livelihoods in order to reduce exploitation of natural resources. To achieve this we will produce new and translate existing video material to malagasy language, which would be presented to local communities via a pedal powered cinema. In the long term these presentations should also be accompanied by instructional seminars of alternative sustainable agricultural techniques and the distribution of printed material for environmental education.
