Ecological Adaptation of Species to Environmental Conditions, the Study on the Example of Two Sets of Mammals Species
1. Conduct a complex survey of the biodiversity of forest-steppe zone in the South of the Tyumen region for the study of the present state of Asian fauna.
2. Justify and prepare all necessary documents to create a complex protected area in forest-steppe zone in the South of the Tyumen region for the protection of Asian fauna.
With the implementation of the first phase of the project, we were able to collect material for the dissemination of present and attachment to the habitats of Asian mammals and birds in the forest-steppe zone in the South of the Tyumen region. These data were analyzed on the basis of which the proposals drawn up by the allocation of the three best-preserved areas of the forest-steppe zone to plan the creation of one of these protected areas. The data for species included in the project is an integral part of the new edition of the Red Book of the Tyumen region, including with the introduction of new taxa in the main list. Also in the field was first discovered a new species - Southern Birch Mouse.
However, to understand the integrity of the process of promoting Asian species in the forest-steppe zone of Western Siberia is necessary to study and other fauna and flora. This is also necessary to develop a set of measures for the protection and creation of protected areas in these areas. Thus, the first grant data, with continued research in the second grant will help to answer some questions regarding the location and status of protected areas created. Proposals for the development of long-term monitoring will allow continuing the research work, and the description of the places and species that will attract tourism potential in the data area.
