This study aims to quantitatively survey the Shengguozhuang Nature Reserve (SNR) in southwest China to decide the population status and the habitat utilization of endangered giant panda.

This study aims to quantitatively survey the Shengguozhuang Nature Reserve (SNR) in southwest China to decide the population status and the habitat utilization of endangered giant panda, moreover, the terrestrial vertebrate fauna in reserve will be quantified explored.

Furthermore, the socio-economic surveying will be carried out in the minority communities to determine the relation between livelihood of the local native Yi Peoples and the nature conservation of the reserve, and this project will give some public presentation to communities and lecturing at local schools around the study areas to raise and improve the environment awareness.
