The project aims to strengthen the capacity for bird ringing in Kenya through building on skills and expertise of bird club members.
The project aims to strengthen the capacity for bird ringing in Kenya through building on skills and expertise of the members. This initiative hopes to promote members professional development in field ornithology. Project to increase knowledge and improve on methods of data collection, identification and ageing of birds at hand, help in collection of data at various habitat types, carry out rapid base line surveys in specific areas, improve on the database of NbiRG, allow members to participate at Ngulia migrants study and improve on networking between NbiRG and other ringers world wide.
Participants will be from active organised groups, interns at the Dept of Ornithology and institution's students studying related courses. It will also increase on local involvement and awareness of birds and bird ringing.
